Biju Thomas Reflects on a Year of Innovation, Community, and Cloud Strategy

As 2025 comes to a close, it is the perfect time to pause and reflect on a year of massive shifts in the enterprise landscape. In the spirit of the era—and since AI is the 2025 TIME Person of the Year—I actually used AI to help me synthesize my year’s activities and draft this summary!

2025: A Year of Community & Knowledge Sharing

It was an honor to connect with the community across several stages this year, discussing everything from OCI architecture to the “Multi-Cloud Maze”

  • UKOUG Discover 2025 (Birmingham, UK): Dove deep into Architecting Resilient EBS Environments on OCI and navigated the Multi-Cloud Maze of Licensing and Architecture.
  • Oracle AI World 2025 (Las Vegas): Shared the stage to discuss Oceaneering’s journey to Oracle Cloud and strategies for unifying global ERP systems.
  • East Coast Oracle Conference (Raleigh): Explored High Availability & Disaster Recovery for EBS on OCI and deep-dived into Fusion Data Intelligence.
  • DOUG Training Day (Dallas): Shared insights on achieving multicloud agility with Oracle Database@GCP.
  • Ascend & BLUEPRINT 4D (Orlando & Las Vegas): Focused on maximizing cloud savings and unlocking efficiency across multicloud environments.
  • UTOUG & RMOUG Training Days (Salt Lake City & Denver): Engaging with the user groups in Utah and the Rocky Mountain region is always a highlight—discussing 23ai features and EBS on OCI.

Beyond the stage, I found some time to document technical notes on my blog, OracleNotes. From SQLcl integrations to nuances of the Exadata Database Service, you can see my 2025 updates here: bijoos.com/oraclenotes.

In 2026, my goal at Data Intensity is to demonstrate how enterprises can leverage pre-built AI services and intelligent agents to breathe new life into core systems such as Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, and JDE. We aren’t just maintaining these applications; we are enhancing their value by making them smarter and more autonomous.

As an Oracle ACE Director and part of the Data Intensity team, my goal remains helping you find the “Right AI, Right Cloud, Right Size, and Right Licensing.” Thank you to the community, my colleagues, and the Oracle ACE program for another year of growth.
