Senior Cloud Solutions Architect – Azure

Data Intensity is recruiting for a Senior Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to drive customer initiatives on the Microsoft Azure Platform, working from our Bedford, MA office.

Position Responsibilities

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will own technical customer engagements, developing architectural designs and leading solution implementations. You will collaborate with Cloud Engineers and Application and Database Principal Consultants to migrate complex customer enterprise applications to Microsoft Azure.

Job duties:

  •   Conducting client requirements meetings with principal business and application stakeholders
  •   Designing technically viable solution architectures based upon discovery collateral to meet customer business and IT needs
  •   Estimating and outlining solution approaches, expressing and articulating architecture and design rationale
  •   Delivering optimal solution design patterns incorporating high levels of:
    •   Performance
    •   Disaster Recoverability
    •   High Availability
    •   Security
    •   Scalability
    •   Maintainability
    •   Reliability
  •   Calculating accurate total cost of ownership for solutions
  •   Participating in defining deployable and documented cloud design patterns for Microsoft and Azure Application stacks
  •   Designing Azure BluePrints for environment governance implementations
  •   Assuming a hands-on leadership role during solution implementation

Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers.

  •   Detailed knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, networking, and security technologies
  •   Experience developing and refining solutions and services for Microsoft Azure Landing Zones
  •   Technically capable of guiding extended teams during solutions development and deployment
  •   Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating with customers, technically and procedurally
  •   Detailed knowledge of cloud security best practices
  •   Experience of leading enterprise migrations to the Azure Cloud
  •   Experience in designing, deploying, and managing multiple large environments
  •   Excellent documentation experience and skills
  •   Detailed knowledge of all components of a technical architecture
  •   Strong understanding of network architecture
  •   Detailed knowledge of cloud architectural guiding principles
  •   Customer-first mindset

Education and Other Qualifications

  •   A bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related subject
  •   At least one Microsoft Azure certification
  •   Eight or more years of experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations

This role may require access to customer environments as a means of providing the necessary support to resolve an issue or inquiries into performance-related issues, or for periodic maintenance and management of the systems. In some instances, these environments may contain personally identifiable information (PII) (e.g. HIPAA-related personal health information — PHI) and payment card information (PCI). Personnel are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in protecting PII.
