Revenue Manager – Cloud Infrastructure

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Revenue Manager – Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for leading a team within the global Finance team as well as driving and applying global revenue standards across all entities.

This individual will be responsible for participating in month-end close as well as liaising with auditors. The Revenue Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the review of all material contracts and billing of defined revenue across the global organization.

Knowledge and Experience

  •   Oversee 1-2 senior and staff accountants in the global accounting organization
  •   Perform global consolidation of monthly financial statements in Oracle
  •   Assist in preparing monthly management Flash reporting inclusive of global bookings and MRR waterfall
  •   Responsible for overseeing the reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
  •   Standardize the global review of customer contracts for revenue recognition and invoicing requirements
  •   Oversee the billing of monthly recurring services revenue and professional services revenue
  •   Responsible for working with the Company’s Sales, Pricing and Legal teams to implement the ASC 606 accounting standard and participate in rollout of new service offerings
  •   Prepare recurring and period-end journal entries
  •   Perform and review month-end account reconciliations
  •   Timely completion of month end close
  •   Supports monthly accounting close process through flash reporting to management and analytics
  •   Prepares various ad hoc reports and other special projects for management as requested
  •   Manage the rollout and application of global revenue and billing policies and procedures across all entities
  •   Liaise with the auditors; coordinating and preparing schedules, reviewing reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of financial information
  •   Monitor internal control environment and revenue operations processes and implement changes as needed


  •   BA/BS in accounting or Finance
  •   CPA a plus
  •   MSA/MBA a plus


  •   Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience
  •   Mid to large company experience with significant involvement in monthly close process and reporting
  •   Previous software industry/public company experience preferred
  •   Large ERP experience required, Oracle preferred
  •   Proven ability to work in a fast-pace and constantly changing environment
  •   Strong process improvement and problem solving skills
  •   Excellent quantitative, reasoning and analytical skills
  •   Strong communication skills
  •   Strong sense of urgency and proactive thinker; high degree of ownership
  •   Identifies dependencies and risks and then develops and implements solutions
  •   Stays on project schedule and estimates/manages own time accurately and effectively, escalating issues to management if necessary
  •   Flexible, organized, and able to handle competing priorities
  •   Management experience of at least 3 years

This role may requires access to customer environments as a means of providing the necessary support to resolve an issue or inquiries into performance-related issues, or for periodic maintenance and management of the systems. In some instances, these environments may contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) (e.g., such as HIPAA-related Personal Health Information – PHI) and Payment Card Information (PCI). Personnel are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in protecting PII.
