Principal Consultant – Oracle Apps DBA

Required Experience and Skills

•   10+ years of work experience as an Oracle Apps DBA
•   Experience in working on Middleware technologies
•   5 years of experience in Oracle Consulting/Implementation
•   Expert in 24*7 support projects
•   Excellent communication & Client Interaction skills
•   Ability to resolve complex problems
•   Expertise in multiple platforms & technology
•   Performance monitoring and Tuning
•   Ability to Lead a Group of DBA Team members
•   Effective planning, accurate estimation, quick resolution & root cause analysis, knowledge base update
•   Ability to lead and contribute to technology requirement on multiple projects/accounts
•   Implement best practices for OAM, OID and SSO and can serve as escalation to resolve related issues
•   EBS Application and Technology Stack - Performed three or more successful upgrades for technology stack and applications
•   Performance Tuning - Advanced performance-tuning skills to review performance reports (ADDM, AWR, & ASH), Application code and SQLs to optimize application run times – Would not need to escalate performance issues
•   Web Services – Understand SOA and Web Services configurations as well as the ability to design and implement advanced SOA and Web Services Configurations

Work environment and Physical requirements:

•   The position has a predominantly sedentary work such. Computer activity, and in person or phone conversations and meetings dominates most of the physical responsibilities.
•   Responsibilities require keyboarding activity and/or manual manipulation of a computer mouse with either hand. This includes repetitive motion with wrists, hands and/or fingers. The position involves extensive viewing of a computer monitor. It is also necessary to possess the ability to speak and hear (with reasonable accommodation) in order to exchange detailed information both face-to-face and via phone to customers, vendors, employees and others.

This role may require access to customer environments as a means of providing the necessary support to resolve an issue or inquiries into performance-related issues, or for periodic maintenance and management of the systems. In some instances, these environments may contain personally identifiable information (PII) (e.g. HIPAA-related personal health information — PHI) and payment card information (PCI). Personnel are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in protecting PII.
