Data Intensity was founded in 2000 by a group of software industry veterans who recognized a common challenge facing IT departments: how to handle routine maintenance cost-effectively and free IT resources for value-added activities.

In decades of experience with different organizations, our founders saw how much time and money was spent on applications and database maintenance. In many cases, software cost three times as much to maintain as to purchase. Few IT teams could enhance their systems, let alone launch new initiatives to let their companies grow and compete in the marketplace. Industry analysts have recently confirmed that most companies spend 80 percent of their IT budgets managing existing systems, and only 20 percent innovating. Data Intensity was created to help companies break through this barrier.

Originally providing remote database administration, Data Intensity soon expanded its portfolio of services to meet its customers’ varied needs.
